Young Artist Vocal Program

Program Overview

• Individual vocal lessons or coaching everyday to focus on technique • Sing in masterclasses with guest lecturers, including professional opera singers, professors from famous conservatories, conductors, and artist managers • Information and practice in preparing for auditions, and other skills necessary to excel • Performance at reputable venues such as National Opera Center in New York, with live video recordings and live streams world-wide • At the final concert, prizes will be awarded to the three best vocal performances as determined by the faculty • Connect with and receive feedback from world-famous singers, professors, and other professionals in the field • The Metropolitan Opera concert at Lincoln Center, guided by the vocal instructor • Tour opportunities available at facilities such as The Metropolitan Opera, The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, and more • ESL (English as a Second Language) lecture by university language expert available for international students understanding the language requirement for admission

Application Requirements

• Fill in and submit the application form • Upload TWO video recordings showing your present vocal level, singing an art song or an operatic aria • Upload a repertoire list of art songs and arias you have prepared and are ready to workshop in the program • Upload a resume listing voice type and amount of study • Upload headshot photo

2025 Cost of Attendance

• Tuition: $5,880 • Tuition description: · Tuition includes attendance and participation in all masterclasses/lessons for two weeks, including private voice lessons or private coaching everyday, performance at a reputable New York opera venue with livestreams plus receiving video recordings; Met Opera performance; lodging at a 4-star hotel in Times Square, ten minutes away from Lincoln Center by subway.​ · Tuition does not include airfare, meals, or other expenses

Scholarship Opportunities

• Applicants may be considered for merit-based scholarship at the time of applying. • A special Aprile Millo Award may be given to a selected participant - private lesson with renowned international soprano Aprile Millo.

Deposit, Payment and Refund Policy

• Tuition deposit (non-refundable): $1,500 • Participants are required to pay a non-refundable deposit at the time of confirmation to secure their place in the program. Deposits will be applied toward the total cost of attendance. All deposit and fees are non-refundable except in the case of visa related complications directly related to the student.

Collaborative Pianist Fellowship

Program Overview

• Accompany vocal lessons or coaching with vocal partners everyday • Attend daily masterclasses with guest lecturers, including professional opera singers, professors from famous conservatories, conductors, and artist managers • Performance opportunities • Connect with and receive feedback from world-famous singers, teachers, and other professionals in the field • Tour opportunities available at facilities such as The Metropolitan Opera, The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, and more.

Application Requirements

• Fill in and submit the application form • Upload video recordings of three contrasting works or movements, including two contrasting songs or one song and one aria with a singer • Upload a comprehensive repertoire list of art songs and arias/operas collaborated with • Upload a resume • Upload headshot photo

2025 Collaborative Pianist Fellowship

• All collaborative pianist fellowships cover the full cost of tuition, including attendance at all masterclasses, participation in coaching and accompaniment of vocal lessons; performance opportunities; campus tour opportunities • Fellowship does not include housing, airfare, meals, or other expenses

Deposit, Payment and Refund Policy

• Fellowship deposit: $1,000 • Participants are required to pay a fellowship deposit at the time of confirmation to secure their place in the program. Deposits will be refunded after the end of the program. If student withdraws before the end of the program after confirmation, the fellowship deposit will be forfeited, except in the case of visa related complications directly related to the student.

Auditors
